It's turtle time!


It's box turtle nesting season. Gardeners beware! Your tilled garden edges may be hosting a box turtle nest. When you are in your garden you may see a box turtle digging a hole, mentally mark the spot for future reference. This digging process may go on for hours so leave her in peace. These articles give good information on how to help conserve our local turtles. I hesitate to put too much information about exact turtle nests. You never know when some expert will decide that turtles come first. I think that if you see a nesting turtle you must be doing something right and with a little information we can do something right even
